Monday, May 5, 2008 Today is a "B" day
*Student Council will meet after school today from 3:00-4:00pm in the 6B pod area.
*Wednesday, May 7 from 6:00-7:30pm is the 8th grade dance. The theme is futuristic and the entrance fee is $2.00. Wear your bright colors, but remember to follow Scott's dress code rules.
*8th graders: May 8 is your final opportunity to submit an application for Youth Leadership Lincoln's 2008/2009 freshman class.
*Middle School Students: Are you looking for an opportunity to sing this summer? Please consider participating in Lincoln Public Schools Middle School Choral Music Camp that will run from June 9th through the 13th. The camp meets at Irving Middle School and is open to any current 6th, 7th, or 8th grader. Please see your school's vocal music teacher for more information. The last day to sign up is Friday, May 23.

*We look forward to walking with you at the Heart Walk on Saturday, May 17 at 9:00am at East High School. Did you know that: last year, Scott Middle School had the most school nutrition staff and families participate in the Heart Walk, more than any other school in Lincoln!
*Bright Lights Summer Adventures: Come celebrate summer as a season of learning? Bright Lights is offering a broad range of hands-on classes for summer 2008. For the sixth year, American students will have an opportunity for an international experience with Japanese students from Senshu Middle School the week of June 23-27. Nine morning classes will be offered at Lux Middle School in this international program with American and Japenese students studying and socializing together.
Openings are still available for Bright Lights' classes and day camps. Most of these classes and camps will be held at Randolph Elementary, 37th and D Streets, during the weeks of June 9-13, June 23-27, and July 7-11. May 9, 2008 is the deadline for your Youth Leadership application. Remember to include the permission form from the principal, a school reference and a community reference. Mail the completed application to:
